I KNOW THE STRESS OF PARTY PLANNING
Growing up in a big Italian family I have learnt the ways of putting on a delicious feast with good wine. An event as ordinary as weekly Sunday lunch was filled with hand made pasta and self brewed wine. Things like this every day in my life made me want to bring these little spurts of joy and uniqueness to everyone's events simply and effectively. I started adding personalised touches to gifts and taking joy in wrapping presents (obviously with twine..duh) and realised I could start making these creative tidbits for others to use.
In 2012 I joined the Brisbane South Make-A-Wish Australia Branch as a volunteer and somehow (okay I always offered) I became the resident graphic artist and social media guru. With no expertise, I dove right in and we had increased our engagement immensely with branded banners and events. As a branch we host an annual fundraiser with over 300 attendees and I design a lot of the themed graphics for marketing and on the night each year and it is a pleasure.
I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THE GIRL WHO ALWAYS VOLUNTEERED TO DESIGN THINGS FOR OTHERS WOULD BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR SOMEDAY.
I haven't always been in this industry, it was very much a hobby for a long time. More and more people started
asking me to design invitations, tags, banners and so on. I thought to myself, heck, maybe I can do this!
So at the ripe age of 25 I started up a website and social media and began taking baby steps
towards my big dreams.
